“ Up to last weekend had only had wonderful takeaways from ‘In Cafe’. However, last weekend I held a surprise ‘70th’ birthday celebration in the restaurant for my husband with 12 of our closest friends. Grace was very accommodating and she and her team were very attentive to all our needs. Our vegetarian friends loved that there is an extensive choice for vegans/vegetarians as well. The food we had was absolutely delicious and everyone agreed that it was one of the best Chinese meals they had eaten. Highly recommend the In Cafe. “ I spent over 4 years in Hong Kong and my wife is Cantonese so when she found this place we had high hopes. The food overall did not disappoint to bring back those familiar tastes and nostalgia. Still that being said you can see that the food was partially westernised. Still it was a lovely lunch meal, so much that we came back the next day. ”

I do recommend the king prawns in the black bean sauce and the duck in ginger and oyster sauce. Perhaps living in Cardiff for sooo long I grew complacent in thinking that there is not a lot that can so positively surprise me (or maybe this is the lack of going out events due to children), but this is an absolute little gem of a place on the Cardiff’s “foody” map Amazing food, great service and a very friendly owner.
